  1. I am From…

I am from O’Neill! The Smell of the summer breeze after you get up. The trees swaying form side to side as the wind blows! The Taste of sweet but sour times! The touch of soft sand as I enter O’Neill after a long weekend of camping! The sound of playing on the Green, Green Grass!

I am From Home! I see my past memories floating around all threw out my house hold! The smell of my comforting home every time I come in. The touch of my pillow hitting my head after a hard day at work. The sound of my annoying sisters, Pesting me like bugs! The taste of German Chocolate cake when ever its my dads birthday.

I am From school! I see Education floating in little bubbles above my head as I enter the room. I smell “new” every time I open a book full of education! The touch of a smooth desk running across my fingers. The sound of kids yelling across the hallway like little kids playing outside. The taste of sour cause I don’t really get anything on my first try but it gets sweet cause eventually I do get it!

I am Feeling! I see agony rushing threw my veins! I Smell laughter as I talk to my friends! I touch tears as they run down my face! The sound of happiness coming out of my mouth is like picking roses on a warm summer day! The taste of love like you has never tasted it before!

I am telling my hobbies! I see balls flying like little birds as they come over the net! I smell wood as I enter the gym floor with pride! I touch sweat as I rub it off my face knowing I have been working hard for my goals! The sound of “Got it” or “mine” before someone gets the ball! The taste of success after we won our First game!

I am from the Mall! I see the clothes just waiting to be worn. The smell of Hollister every time I walk by there. The touch of the soft clothes when I swift my fingers across them. The sound of little kids yelling and people talking. The taste of colors as you pick them.

I am from Camping! I see the glossy blue water as I drive down to it! I Smell the pure nature air as I wake up in the morning! I touch the sand as if I was petting a soft and cozy dog! The sound of the birds when I get up on the morning! The taste of the camp fire as we sit around it!

I am from Hunting! I see the deer as they roam threw the hills! I smell the autumn wind as we drive to the stand! I Touch the sky like I was in heaven just waiting peacefully! I hear twigs brake as we come upon this huge Buck! The taste of success after we get the big buck after weighting so long!

    I am from O’Neill
A peaceful place, full of caring people
    Fresh smelling, kids laughing
The biggest shamrock I have ever seen

    I am from my home
With my mom, dad, big brother and my dog
The smell of the fried chicken makes my mouth water
Although the fighting gets to an unbearable noise level

I am from my school- O’Neill Junior/Senior High School
Smells like learning, feels like a success
Sounds like fun, tastes like rotten eggs
    (The food isn’t very good!)

I am from a clumsy life
Full of accidents: falling, tripping, crying, fainting,
Full of some laughs, along with some fright
What a scary life, knowing I’m just that way

I am from a place of music
    Jamming out and rocking out
Singing and dancing my heart out
And loving every second of it

I am from the softball field
Pitching and catching, cheering and screaming
    Hoping and dreaming
And there it is- the highlight of the season

I am from the basketball court
Passing and shooting, defense and offense
Every score, a second of hollering
It’s all worth the effort when we win the title

    I am from my dreams
Not ever wanting to wake up
Just sleep, sleep, sleeping until the moment
Where it’s good-bye dreams, hello reality

  3. I am from a small town
    Not just any small town
A small town with big dreams

In this small town I live in I
    Can always guarantee that
You will be able to hear
    Our small but powerful crowd
    All the way across town

I am from the Irish capital
    Of Nebraska where we have
    The blarney stone that sits
At the corner of the big shamrock

    I am from blackness
    From all the bad things
    That has happened
To me and my loved ones
    In my life

I am from the O’Neill High School
Aerie that has the smell of
    Winning in the hallways
When you walk in the font doors

    I am from sadness
    And sacredness not
    Knowing what is to
    Come in the future for
    My family and I

    I am from volleyball
    Waiting for the ball to
    Come across that net
So we can smash it back
At them for the game to
    Be in our hands

    I am from O’Neill
    Trying to figure
    Out what my next
    Move should be
    And how to make
    That move

    I am from the arena.

Full of dirt, dust , success

    bad luck , victory and

defeat. The taste of victory is

    is more sweet but the

taste of defeat is quite unique

the smell of the dirt, the calf

    and concession stand burgers

is thick and thick in the air

I feel the people in the stands,

    my horse underneath me and

my rope in my hand and the

leather reins in my other hand

I hear the horse breath, the calf

yell, and the crowd cheer and my

    friends tell me good luck

my horse and I are anxiously

awaiting the opening of the gate

    the calf and the other

competitors wondering if I will catch

I nod my head I kick my horse

he starts to take on speed

I pick up my rope and

swing once, twice and I let my

rope fly I catch and pitch my slack

I edge out everyone else and win the

buckle and the metal is cold against my

    hands but the congratulations makes

    me feel good about myself

  10. I am from bright street lights,
    And concrete highways.
Where the scent of restaurant food wanders around the empty streets,
    In search for competitive business.

Where the taste is a bitter sweet,
Is where my friends and I like to meet.
We hear trucks and cars rushing by,
Yelling “We’re tired! Please let us rest from our three day fleet!”

I am from a family with Godly virtues,
Through out them I am kept sturdy.
Where the scent of mothers cooking,
    Makes everyone’s gut running.

Where the taste is warm and filling,
And I can feel happiness renewing.
    I hear the bacon frying,
As I walk through our door.

I am from a school which cares for us,
With our education locked up in a sturdy brick building.
Where the scent roaming from the kitchen,
Is warm and inviting to tell us lunch is ready!

Where the taste is sweet, sour, and bitter in between,
Sometimes the taste is kind of mean.
Where we hear the days gossip,
    And listen without being seen.

I am from a poverty stricken country with many scars,
Where they are new to cars.
With the scent of Benzene Gas,
    Hopefully soon it will pass!

    Where the taste is sweet,
And as a lawn mower they use the thing we use to cut wheat.
Where from the windows we can hear the bus stop talk
And the cows grazing and mooing as they walk.

I am from a body of water,
Where I go with my father.
Where the scent of porta potty and fish fill the air,
It sure feels good to be there!

Where the taste is yucky and awesome!,
Where I learned to cut a blossom.
Where from the tube we can hear the roar of the motor,
And hear the people in the boat laugh at our horror.

    I am from God’s hands,
There he made me and wrote out our plans.
    Together we are a team,
And together we will help this country come out of mean.

I may not know what he looks like, smells like, feels like, sounds like, or tastes like,,
But I do know that he is great!
We can all see his and our fate,
When we meet him at those golden pearly gates.

I feel the cool wind blowing through my hair
I hear the laughter of children

    I am from my home
I see the paintings on my walls
I smell my dad making us breakfast yummy its biscuits and gravy.
I feel the love in the air as I walk through the house
I hear the TV playing the morning cartoons Shea and Sean sitting on the couch.
I taste the freshness of the biscuits

    I am from my school
    I see my friends
I smell the food that no one likes but they run out of the class to get it.
I feel the book covers rubbing on my hands.
I hear the bell time for a different class

  12. I am from two completely different people,
    One sweet, gentle, and loving
While the other is tough, stubborn, and hard working.

I am from firm and strong hands,
Carving me into what they want me to be,
While on the inside, I am resisting and rebelling.

    I am from many memories,
Some good, some sad, and some very bad,
Some make me smile, but others make
Me remember all the times when everything went wrong and I had nothing left but hope and faith.

I am from all kinds of drama,
Most I would like to forget but
My mind just replays everything over and over again,
Forcing me to think about it everyday.

I am from late nights staying out with my friends,
Talking about anything and everything going on,
We will hopefully remain close to each other.

I am from yesterday, today, and tomorrow,
Constantly reliving what could have been,
What should have been, and what would have been,
If I could go back and redo everything.

I am from good friends becoming sisters,
From telling secrets to telling our life stories,
From telling each other everything to finishing each other’s sentences. And from promising to always be tight until the end.

I am from thinking boys had cooties and realizing they don’t,
From not even wanting to sit by them, but now wanting to date them,
From talking about them non-stop with close friends.

I am from that first grade class so scared and small,
But I am now figuring out that life is an adventure,
A path waiting to be traveled by those brave enough to venture into the dark forest up ahead, but I know that there is a light at the end just sitting there waiting to be put out when we reach the end.

    One minute happy and laughing
    Another minute mad and angry
    I am always changing

    I am from music
    Rocking out to hip hop
    And random dance moves
Jamming out like no one is watching

    I am from schoolwork

I'm from York but also from O'Neill, and 2 pizza slices sitting there waiting for us to be eaten by sanity.

From the development of my life like being to take any shape like milk to shaping up and maturing little bit like cream then to cheese...The whole thing.

I am from on top of the TV where all of our picture and our memories are held just mixed together with other things that have nothing to do with them.

  29. Where I am from

    I am from O’Neill
Cars, candy from the St. Patrick’s Day parade. The sound from

people cheering as people go bye on floats, candy that I eat from the parade after I

get home, I am from home, birds chirping outside the

window, I smell the apples from my moms kitchen, top of the counters in my

moms kitchen, I hear my sister talking too much about her puppy, I taste cake because being home is fun. I am from school

the books in my locker, I touch the hard covered books while getting them out of my locker,

kids talking before the bell ring and we have to go to class I taste spaghetti because school is boring.

I am from hobbies, grass as I run past it on the road,

I smell the wild flowers, I touch the air as I’m running, I hear the wind moving the trees, I taste cake because I like running.
